The usage of supplements and dietary behaviours after ABI have been explored in new research

Researchers have examined the use of supplements and dietary behaviours in a group of ABI survivors.

The researchers conducted surveys with 211 ABI survivors. They found that 74% were consuming supplements, with 55% having increased their intake after ABI. The most commonly used supplements were Vitamin D, multivitamins, magnesium and omega 3-and/or -6.

Over half of the survivors were taking supplements following a recommendation from a healthcare professional.

The majority of survivors were not following a specific dietary behaviour after ABI.

You can find out more about diet and nutrition after ABI from our webinar on this topic.
