Caregivers needed!

What is the research about?

As part of an Occupational Therapy MSc dissertation, researchers are exploring caregivers' experiences of "occupational balance", which is the balance of social, physical, mental, social and restful activities we experience in our daily lives.

The project will aim to explore the experiences of occupational balance in caregivers of individuals with acquired brain injuries.

This study aims to explore caregivers’ experiences of occupational balance, whether caregiving responsibilities impact on this, and what strategies they might use to support or maintain their occupational balance, if any.

Who can take part?

Participants will be over the age of 18 and will identify as a caregiver of an individual with an acquired brain injury.

Participants must also have been a caregiver for a minimum of 12 months.

What does taking part involve?

Participants will be interviewed online where they will be asked about their caregiving role, their experience of occupational balance, and strategies they might use to support or maintain their occupational balance. The interviews will last up to one hour and will be held virtually on Microsoft Teams.
