First independent review of the Personal Independence Payment assessment

Mon 01 Sep 2014

In June 2013, The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) commissioned Paul Gray CB to undertake an independent review of how the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) assessment is working.

The call for evidence was aimed at organisations and individuals who have information that is relevant to how the PIP assessment is operating both for new claims and Disability Living Allowance (DLA) reassessment claims.

Headway circulated this consultation to our members, encouraging them to provide feedback in order to ensure brain injury was fairly represented in the findings. We also submitted a response after speaking to our members and stakeholders about the experience of claiming PIP.

You can download our response in the related resources section.
