About the film

Things not to say to someone with a brain injury aims to raise awareness of common misunderstandings about brain injury.

It portrays the frustrations and upset that can be felt by survivors when faced with often well-meaning but ultimately inappropriate comments, such as ‘I know what you mean...I’ve got a terrible memory too!’

The film shows survivors’ natural and immediate reactions to some of the phrases they hear on a daily basis, taking a deliberately light-hearted approach to a very serious subject.

It uses humour and passion in order to engage with the general public and encourage them to see brain injury in a different light.

Please share!

We’d then love it if you ask all your colleagues, friends, family members – in fact anyone you can think of – to do the same.

Share on Facebook and Twitter, or simply nag people until they vote! By doing so, you’ll be helping to raise awareness of brain injury.

Thank you – and fingers crossed!
