Headway – the brain injury association has ended its association with The Dorchester Hotel as a result of disturbing new laws being introduced into the Kingdom of Brunei.

For the past 15 years, the Headway Annual Awards, which celebrate the inspirational achievements of brain injury survivors and the dedication of those working to support them, have been held at The Dorchester Hotel.

In light of recent news reports regarding the Sultan of Brunei, who owns The Dorchester Hotel, introducing abhorrent new laws punishing homosexuality, the charity has cancelled its booking for this year’s ceremony.

Headway – the brain injury association believes in equality for all, regardless of race, religion, gender or sexuality.

A new venue will be announced in due course and we look forward to hosting another fabulous event in December.
