Leading brain injury charity launches survey to understand impact of proposed closure of rail station ticket offices

Mon 10 Jul 2023

Headway – the brain injury association has today launched a survey to seek the views of brain injury survivors and their families regarding proposals to close rail ticket offices across England.

Headway has expressed its concern regarding the proposals but would like to hear directly from people living with acquired brain injury as to how the plans would affect them.

There is a public consultation to consider the proposals being facilitated by independent passenger watchdogs Transport Focus and London TravelWatch and will run for 21 days.

Sarah Russell, Senior Policy and Public Affairs Manager at Headway said: “We really want to hear from the brain injury community about their experiences of travelling by rail, what these potential closures will mean for them and whether people have used their Brain Injury ID Cards when travelling by train.

“This feedback will be central to our consultation response so any responses will be gratefully received.”

The Headway survey can be accessed here and will run until Wednesday 19 July.
