Circus fun leaves guests in WonderLAN

Mon 20 Nov 2017

Can-can dancers, fire eaters and acrobats ensured guests at a Headway charity ball were left in WonderLAN earlier this month.

The circus-themed WonderLAN Ball, organised by EMG Solicitors, raised more than £10k for next year’s Look Ahead in the North event, otherwise known as LAN.

Headway’s Look Ahead in the North, which is held at the Calvert Trust inclusive outdoor activity centre in Kielder, Northumberland, is a unique opportunity to bring together individuals and families affected by brain injury for a weekend of fun, sharing and challenging outdoor pursuits.

Alistair White, Network Support Manager at Headway, said: “It was a fantastic night and the venue, as well as entertainment was spectacular.”

The Moulin Rouge circus-themed WonderLAN Ball features acrobats, trapeze artists, music and a wealth of other performers

“We’re thrilled to have raised more than £10,000, which will go towards next year’s LAN weekend. This event could not have happened without the huge support from EMG Solicitors, who have been unwavering throughout the history of the WonderLAN Ball.”

Emma Gaudern, Managing Director at EMG Solicitors, said: “At EMG Solicitors we are always pleased to support Headway’s Look Ahead in the North weekend, which offers opportunities to those with brain injuries to develop new skills, make friends, and boost their confidence.

“The WonderLAN Ball has become a firm annual favourite with all those who attend, and we are thrilled to be able to raise money whilst having a fabulous time.  None of this would be possible without the support of Bernice Saltzer of Sorted PR, and my thanks extend to her once again for organising such a memorable evening.”
