#HeadwayHero Lenny takes on 100km challenge for Headway

Wed 30 Nov 2016

After meeting a keen sportsman in hospital who had suffered a life-changing brain injury, Lenny Martin was inspired to put his tendency to do ‘slightly stupid things to challenge himself’ to use and raise vital funds for Headway.

So far Lenny has run a 10km race around Epping Forest and the Gower round of the Coastal Trail Series, a 57km race, but that is just his training!

In May 2017, Lenny will be running a staggering 100km in the London to Brighton Challenge, which is double the distance of anything he has previously attempted. As if this isn’t enough, he is also taking on a number of mountain races later in the year such as the Mont Blanc Marathon and Eiger 35 to continue his fundraising.

Lenny says ‘Pain is certain, and success is not, but I will be trying my best to support Headway, and those who have suffered a life-changing brain injury.’
