Remembering Princess D...
On the 20th anniversary of the death of Diana, Princess of Wales, Headway Chief Executive Peter McCabe has spoken about the invaluable support Diana provided to the charity in her capacity as Royal Patron.
Speaking to ITV Central, Peter said: “When Diana agreed to become our patron the charity had just three weeks expenditure left in the bank.
“Her support had a dramatic effect on the fortunes of the charity and it is no exaggeration to say that the without her assistance the charity may not have survived to help those who needed our help and become the thriving charity it is today.”
