Ryan was playing for Hull City against Chelsea on January 22 when he suffered a fractured skull in a clash with the Blue’s Gary Cahill.
To thank the charity for its ongoing support during his recovery, the supporters club hosted a series of events to support the charity’s work.
As well as holding a number of pub quizzes at the Crooked Billet in Ryehill, the group organised a raffle to win an England football shirt, raising a grand total of £504.25.
Ryan Mason joined Kathryn Townsley, Chair of the Hull City Official Supporters Club to present the cheque to Headway's Director of Communications, Luke Griggs, at the club’s training ground.
Luke said he was delighted to receive the funds on behalf of the charity and thanked all of the Hull City Official Supporters Club members for their support.
He said: "We are extremely grateful to all of the fans who contributed. All of the money raised will go towards supporting our front line services including our helpline, so we can continue to support brain injury survivors and their families.
"We would also like to thank Ryan for his ongoing efforts to raise awareness of brain injury and we wish him all the best with his ongoing recovery."
Kathryn Townsley said: "Ryan's nasty head clash in last season’s away match at Chelsea really brings it home that serious incidents can happen to anyone, with no forewarning, and for which no one is prepared.
"We know that Ryan continues to be helped and supported by Headway and we wanted, as fans, to thank the charity in some small way for that, in order to help others who may need similar help."
For Kathryn, the joining together of the community is what made fundraising for Headway so special.
"The way we raised the money has been a joy to me personally. It has brought together people who didn’t necessarily know each other to raise money for a common cause while enjoying themselves through a shared interest.
"Not only that, it has also helped spread awareness about the invaluable work and help that Headway provides."
