Voyage Care’s Chief Executive Andrew Cannon said he was delighted to take up the Headway Challenge Baton for 2017 and looked forward to seeing all the ideas their staff come up with to raise funds.
He said: “We provide specialist care and support to adults with a brain injury and all 18 of our services are accredited by Headway.
“Headway does such amazing and vital work and this feels like a natural charity partner choice for Voyage.
“We work with so many people who have a brain injury and we know first-hand how Headway makes a difference.”
Voyage Care’s partnership with Headway was developed by their Acquired Brain Injury Specialist Dave Barlow, seen pictured above.
Dave said: “We have worked with Headway since 2002 and we have the largest number of services within Headways Approved Provider Scheme.
“I have challenged our services across the UK to raise as much money as possible for Headway and I am looking forward to seeing what ideas people come up with. We already have one staff member who is running the London Marathon to raise money.”
Rachel Broughton, Fundraising Manager at Headway, said: “We are thrilled that Voyage Care has taken on a Challenge Baton.
“Voyage Care has a great understanding about how a brain injury can affect people’s lives and I’m sure it is this insight that will help push staff forward as they tackle the fundraising challenges planned for the year.”
